Spin-off del celebre Out Run, gioco di guida prodotto da Sega che vedeva il giocatore alla guida di una fiammante Ferrari Testarossa. In Out Run Europa si vestono i panni dell’agente segreto Simeon Kurtz, impegnato a trasportare alcuni preziosi documenti da Londra a Bonn. “Una corsa sfrenata attraverso l’Europa, che fonde gli elementi dell’originario Out Run con l’azione travolgente di Chase H.Q., con nemici che attaccano da ogni parte” (K 31, settembre 1991). Un’esperienza on the road tra Inghilterra, Francia, Spagna, Italia e Germania.

Sulle italiche strade si possono scorgere in lontananza il Colosseo, i Fori Imperiali, la Basilica di San Pietro. Anche la torre di Pisa, raddrizzata per l'occasione. Da verificare la verosimiglianza del percorso, dal momento che il giocatore approda al porto di Genova ed è diretto a nord verso la Germania. L'impressione è che l'itinerario rifugga ogni realismo a favore di un calderone di suggestivi stereotipi paesaggistici.
