Cinque sorelle, Maria, Pinuccia, Lia, Katia, Antonella, vivono in un appartamento di Palermo e si guadagnano da vivere affittando colombe per cerimonie. La morte accidentale di Antonella durante una normale giornata in spiaggia ne sconvolgerà le relazioni per il resto della loro vita.
